We are just wrapping up the online course Drawing & Painting Trees. As part of the course we've looked at 19th century examples of drawings and painted studies of trees. I thought I'd share a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

    I used to love Constable's oil sketches and studies in the Tate and V&A when I used to live and work in London...

    Thank you for sharing the different artist's view of painting trees Deborah. I really love the Constable study of trees it is incredible to think how old that drawing must be yet it still retains it's freshness.

    Those drawings are great! I recognize a few old favorites I discovered way back when I was in grad school. I know you're a serious devotee of drawing!
