Autumn Pool

Autumn Pool
24 x 36
Available at Whistle Pik Galleries

Last fall I laid in this painting and a few others, but had to leave them to start working on the pieces for my solo show in Florida. A few weeks ago, I finally got back to it. So even though I am really looking forward to spring, in my studio it's still autumn!

Hi Deborah. What a beautiful painting and I like the large size of it too, it must look very impressive in reality. I am very aware of how the size of a painting will create a different look and atmosphere. A painting this size will have the viewer feel more a part of the scene than simply being a viewer. I am still working on winter scenes and we have our first snow drops in the garden. Spring is almost here in the highlands.

Lovely warm glow, one of the wonderful things about being an artist is to be able to bring any season we want into the studio at any time of the year :)
